6th: Today we began class by discussing research- what the students already know about conducting research. Then, we discussed how research would be conducted in this upstander project. We got index cards, wrote the research question at the top of each index card and then practiced writing things we read in our own words so that we did not plagarize. Then, we conducted research for the rest of the class period. The students did great!
Homework: Bring food for Euro feast tomorrow! Complete foldable reading response, due tomorrow.
7th: Today, we began class with the remaining presentations. Then, we used all the notes we had taken on African history throughout the presentations and completed an assessment to demonstrate what we knew. Then, we began on our homework- the African vocab we'll be discussing tomorrow.
Homework: Complete Africa vocabulary. Bring food for Africa feast tomorrow!
